Fascinators
One of the things I'd like to throw into the challenge is to make a fascinator. Since you may not know what that is, or if you do, have no idea how to make one, I found a tutorial here: http://corvustristis.livejournal.com/3205.html I'm making one right now. I'll let you know how it comes out.
S.S
there once was a loaf of bread who thought of being more then just plain slices. The loaf dreamed of wonderful things like Bacon, cheese, ham, lettuce, tomatoes and more. While the youthful loaf slept and dreamed his dreams of becoming a Sandwich one day; there was another who was dreaming of being a Loaf of hot steamy bread. While each dreamed of the others life it dawned on the Sandwich to trick the loaf into becoming him and replacing his slices with the other. So early the next morning the Sandwich said to the loaf I have a great idea. The Loaf quaked with excitement "could this be the day" the Loaf blurted out with glee. 'OH YES!' thought the Sandwich 'I have him now'. The sandwich looked very longingly at the loaf and said " Dear Loaf I feel I have fallen ill and will not be able to take my place as the sandwich for today I was wondering if you might find it in your kind heart to switch places with me in hopes that I will be better tomorrow". The Loaf looking kinda worried about the whole thing hummed and hawed about it for a while and finally said yes.
and that is how the 2 slices of white bread got in the wheat bread bag!

Work in progress
Fabulous Fish by Fayme
I took photos of the needle punch tools so you could see what I'm talking about. I got my supplies at Joanne's. The Michael's near me didn't seem to have anything for needle punch. It's a fun and portable craft. Just don't get so obsessed with finishing it that you give yourself blisters.

fabulous fish ACEO
I decided to make this aceo ysing colored pencils instead of paints. I like how it turned out.
My fabulous fish was going to be a singer, but i decided to skip the mic and just let her be diva.

Fishy
Zany tiki Aceo
I think i'm falling in love with making ACEOs. perhaps on my next trip to Michael's, I'll use my 40% off coupon to buy a huge pack of card stock so that i can start offering these bad boys for sale and trade with confidence!
I had to look up 'zany' because i didn't quite get it, and when i did, Clown was in the definition. So here he is. I tried to make him look wooden by using brown. =-)

Penny Candy
or just cheap flavored chocolate candies. Pics will follow but I ended up spent after running around with my sisters today *whew they sure can walk for hours* LOL so my guy was like umm I'm not going to eat just chocolate so I made some sort of cereal bars with chocolate instead, I guess it could be penny candy in a weird way ....

Fancy Letter by Lanee'
Lanee' I see your fancy 'N' going by in the slide show, but I don't think you've ever posted it to the blog. Looks great. Is it painted?
WIld Penguin
Hey! What ever happened to your Punky Panda??
Here it is!
I've been re-working this punky panda thing for days. The idea that i had before just didn't translate well, so I decided to go this way instead.
The Pink stuff on top is the start of a wildly colored mohawk. It's still not finished- will be when I figure out exactly how much mohawk is a enough.

Wild Penguin Finger Puppet
I liked this so much I listed it in my Tweeters and Hooters etsy shop right away. Then I made an owl to keep my penguin company.
Lonesome Cowgirl
Zany Tiki, Panda, and Tiny Robot
I decided to make a cardboard print of a tiki and put it on some t-shirts. Tiki T-shirts...LOL. Then while I had the ink out, I wanted to see how the panda and robot stamps I carved looked on T-shirts. So here they are. That's what I'm loving about this blog. One thing leads to another and ideas fly like sparks from a sparkler.
I got about five good prints out of the cardboard before it had a melt down. But that's all I had planned to do. It's a great way to make just a few items. I used Speedball Screenprinting Ink for fabric. It's a shame the only color I had was red. Red didn't show up so well on the darker shirts.
