Two Loom Knitted Hats

This month's theme was to make something to give to someone. Here is what I made to give to someone else. I made them for Joyce who is giving them to her two little friends.  I tried to get them to her early so the girls would get them for Christmas but the weather made it unsafe to drive. So she got them on Christmas day instead, and will deliver them as soon as possible.

Milk Bread Rolls to Be Enjoyed by Others

For the December theme, I decided to make share some bread with a neighboring family.
I do love making bread so much that I am prone to random excursions into the recipe book, coming out with some quite tasty treats for the family.

It hardly ever leaves this house (not because it's afraid, but because it gets eaten!)

I like to use every baking adventure as a time to learn or practice what I do know, so with these soft rolls, I decided to try a new, shape.  The single knots are how we were taught to make this bread in school, and the swirly looking ones were an experiment to see how the folds would open up in the shape.

Anyway, I'm sure that this bread has been enjoyed and that feels great!

Oopsy

Oopsy, I thought it was my turn to pick a theme. But when I was re-reading posts, I see Zethan already wanted to do ornaments (or something you can share) in December. So I'll do my theme for January. Blush.

Theme for January

Since I haven't heard from Lanee' and Zethan went last month, and our new member is just learning the ropes, I'll go ahead and pick this month's theme.

New Year's Eve party hats, accessories and decorations.
And here is mine.
I love snoods. They keep my hair covered on a bad hair day, they are a lot of fun to make and wear, and you can make them to match your outfits.  I used to make them for an opera singer that had long hair. She wore them all the time and they became her signature.
I like to add a drawstring to mine to make them adjustable. I picked green with sparkles because that goes with Christmas, New Year's Even, Mardi Gras and St. Patrick's Day.

I can't wait to see what the rest of you come up with.

Hi there! I'm new!

Hello!

I figured this was a good time to introduce myself, since Zethan was so nice to invite me to the Zombie Nanner Gang!

I'm studying to be a graphic designer. I love games and making things. I mainly crochet and draw, but I can also paint, sew, sculpt, cook, and just about anything else you can think of :)

and just to make my first post interesting, I added some drawings I did on my computer earlier today!

If you wanna see more of my work, you can go here to my DeviantArt page.

I'm really looking forward to this month's theme, and to adding to the Zombie Nanner Gang!

December theme

This December theme is long over due so why don't we get started humm? I have a tradition in my family where we made ornaments for all the girls in the family each year to help decorate their tree when they get married. So far I have been the only girl to make ornaments each year sadly I never date or put my name on them so I have no idea when I made what >.< .... I say lets make something that can be enjoyed by many! There is no specific item just something you can share. It could be your favorite dish for the holidays, cookies, ornaments, or even gifts that you've made for others, the out come is limitless so have fun and spread some holiday cheer this December!

Theme - Something you can share with others!

November post

I hope everyone had a Wonderful Thanksgiving or Time off from work and school. I spent most of my November month working on part of my Christmas present for my chosen family. which was ......... (dramatic pause) ............. Scarfs for the whole family Yes that is right the WHOLE family well not the animals *sigh* I don't think they would enjoy it as much at the Humans would. So I finished the last one around 9pm yesterday and piled them all in a bag and brought them over to the family. Sadly I forgot to take pictures of any of them all 5 that I made >.< which makes me sad and it leaves me with no pictures to post. I will Remember next time to take pictures ! oh I also made pumpkin cheese cake which I also forgot to take pictures and post *Big Sigh*

Please help me remember PICTURES !!

It's time to pick a theme for December. Lanee' do you want to go next? Then we could just rotate each month, unless we get new members, then we can reconfigure.

Harvest Mini Pillow

I just couldn't come up with great project for this month's theme. Then as I was looking for some plastic canvas, I found this little pillow I finished not so very long ago that has a harvest theme! I totally forgot I made it. In fact I should have listed it in my Etsy shop before Thanksgiving and now it's too late. :(
But you can still enjoy it here on the zombie blog. Go NANNERS!

Oh and I told my friend about your group. He thought NANNER was short for grandma (nana I guess). He wanted to know why I invited him to a blog for grannies. LMAO. So if anyone else is confused, nanner is short for BANANA.

Autumn is Upon Us

I still haven't picked a fall project. Ack! Maybe I can figure out what to make on my camping trip this weekend.

We still need more members. Right now we are only making one themed item a month. I guess that should make it easier on everyone. Some of the blogs like this are very active and even end up publishing their art in a book. Wouldn't that be grand. I would love to see this group busy and thriving, but I can't do it alone.

I can't wait to see what the other two members are whipping up.

Spider Decor for My Last Day of October

I wanted to make something that would help the family get into the Halloween/ fall spirit.  It's just about time for us to bring out all our winter grear- beanies and scarves, coats and mittens!  I do enjoy the cold weather and snuggling up with good books while keeping warm and cozy near the heater.
My October spider doll, which will sit next to the jack-o-lantern on the table, or candy bowl for the trick or treaters that may come by is dressed and ready to go for this lovely season with a top hat and scarf!
She's Eco-friendly too!  Rather than go out and get a whole new bag of polyester stuffing for her, I went through the bag of clothes we have set aside for donation and pulled out a few shirts and things that may not be great for giving and used it for stuffing.  It's not much, but it's one less thing in our landfills, ya know?!

Viva la Gang!

Hello Everyone!

So I was thinking because a lot of us are busy and a lot of things happened this pass year I think we should ReStart the Gang but this time lets start out slow. How about One item a month nothing big but something fun that we can do in our spare time. The dead line would be the end of each month and in the middle of the month decide on the next item to be made. Or even show off commission works. What say ye!?

Pass Me a Nanner

I do hope to revive this group some day. So if any of you see this and want to join please leave a comment. Now that summer is here perhaps people will get more creative time. I sure hope so.

Right now I'm working on a chicken hat. It's not a hat for a chicken to wear but rather a hat in a chicken theme. It's crocheted. What are you working on? I still get a lot of compliments on my flying pickle. I should make some more circus veggies. And I think I want to make some felt bananas for my sock monkeys to carry around. What do you think?
