Hey!
Can you believe it? I have my January theme done. It's been done for a while and I've been wearing it around like it's goin out of style, but haven't taken pictures of it until now.
I found this yarn on sale and decided to try it for this project because it didn't require lots of stitches. I was afraid hat the 'boulce-ness' of the yarn would confuse me to no end, but I totally dig it and have gotten many compliments on the snood!
A brainstorming group for artists to push the parameters of their creations. Looking for more participants. Copyright Fayme Harper 2011 except each artist holds the copyright to their own photos and text.

Sorry I'm late!
I'm sorry! I was out of town for a large portion of December, and for New Years, so I'm gonna Post December's Item today!
For my 'Items to share' theme, I did 10 mini-paintings for my family! Each painting is about 2"x2" and painted with acrylic paints. Since I couldn't really afford to buy my extended family any gifts this year (and since I was going out of town to meet them) I figured something personal was much more fun!
And before you ask: that one painting? yeah, you know which one...that's NOT blood...It's Ketchup...You'd really have to know my brother to understand :)
And here's a closeup of the ornaments I made too! They're chenille stems and beads

Oh, and I was also thinking I would show you guys my Christmas tree this year! the part of my family that I spent Christmas Day with didn't have a tree. So on Christmas Eve, I grabbed a tree branch, and whatever I could find around the house, and made a tree for them! the poor thing was so tiny, just one of my ornaments was so heavy it bent the 'tree' in half.

"Snood"
We Need a New Banner
If anyone wants to make it and email it to me so I can post it that's great. If not we'll look at the plain banner. I took mine down...I'd grown tired of it. It should say Zombie Nanner Gang and have some sort of zombie banana art on it.

February and June's themes
Hello Folks,
I didn't want to let my turn zoom on by again, so I'm posting the themes for the next couple of months that will fall on me.
For February, I'd like us to create wall hangings. I don't know about your dwelling, but when I look at my walls, they seem super bare and I find that 4 year old part of me who who scribbled on the walls to make them pretty just screaming in my ear.
Your wall hanging can be as simple as making something and putting it in a shadow box frame, or creating a piece of artwork, to an intricate beaded or sequined mosaic. As large or small and having to do with whatever suites your fancy (or home decor).
For June, let's create market/beach bags. I'm sure that the summer will entice us to go out a bit more whether it be for more frequent strolls about, to the beach, or farmer's market. Sew, crochet, knit, or repurpose this one!
Have fun!
